Piano lessons for adults

Never played, or played as a child and want to come back? It’s never too late. Piano lessons for adults in Vilnius, one to one, at your own pace.

Starting out, or starting again

If you have never sat at a piano, we begin with the basics: how to sit, how to hold your hands, where C is on the keyboard. You don’t need to prepare anything — wanting to play is enough.

If you had lessons years ago and stopped, we first find out what you still remember and carry on from there. Reading and finger skills often come back sooner than people expect.

Maybe you want to play a favourite song at a family celebration, or you have long dreamed of Chopin’s preludes. We set the goal together and adapt the pieces you love to your level, at no extra cost.

The way we work is shaped by your goals and abilities, and we choose the repertoire together — classical and folk, jazz, rock, arrangements of the pop songs you love.

Your first lesson

  1. We talk about what you want to play, and why.
  2. We see what you already know — or start from zero.
  3. You learn a first short tune and try a little improvising.
  4. We agree what to practise before the next lesson.

There are no long-term contracts: learn for as long as you enjoy it, and pay only for the lessons you attend.

The first few months

Everyone moves at their own speed, so take this as a direction rather than a promise. In the first months we usually work on:

  • reading notes in the treble and bass clefs;
  • playing with both hands together;
  • rhythm, with djembe drums, an egg shaker and rhythm sticks;
  • simple chords, so you can accompany a song;
  • your first pieces from the repertoire we picked together.

Most adults fit music around work and family, so your practice plan is built around your week. Fifteen minutes on most days does more than two hours once a week.
