Privacy notice

Draft: the studio has to check the text and fill in the details marked in [brackets].

In short: the site and the book use no cookies, no visitor tracking and no advertising. We receive personal data only when you write to us yourself — through the booking form, by e-mail or by phone. Your progress in the book is stored only in your browser.

Who handles your data

Amadeus music studio — Oksana Karataj, [legal form, e.g. individual activity certificate No. …], [address], Vilnius, Lithuania. Contact: info@amadeusmusic.lt, +370 659 49 685. The site and the book are technically maintained by [Hazerim — legal form, registration number, country], which acts on the studio's instructions and does not use the data for its own purposes.

The booking form

What we receive. What you type: your name, phone or e-mail, preferred lesson time and message, plus the page language. The form has a hidden field that catches bots — people never see or fill it.

How it reaches us. Our server receives the form and forwards your entry at once by two routes: an e-mail to the studio's mailbox info@amadeusmusic.lt and a Telegram message to the teacher (sent by our bot; Telegram sees the message content). Nothing is stored on the server — the log keeps only the time and whether sending succeeded. If sending fails, we show the address so you can write yourself. The form is protected from bots by a hidden field, a request limit and a small computation your browser performs — no third-party captcha, no cookies. The studio's mail is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail); data may be processed in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

What we use it for. To answer your request and arrange lessons — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We do not sell your data, send newsletters or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it. If you do not become a student — up to 12 months after our last message, then the e-mail is deleted. If you do — for as long as you take lessons, and accounting records for as long as accounting law requires.

Calls and e-mails

If you write or call us directly, we handle your contact details and the content of your message on the same basis and for the same time as form requests.

Visiting the site

Server log. The site and the book are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) in its data centre in Helsinki, Finland. The server writes every request to a technical log: IP address, time, the address opened, browser name and where you came from. We use the log only to keep the site running and secure (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and delete it after 30 days at the latest.

Cookies and tracking. The site sets no cookies, collects no visitor statistics and has no social-media buttons or advertising.

Fonts. The site's fonts (Caveat, Commissioner) are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts or any other third party. The book loads no third-party fonts either.

Links. The link to YouTube leads to a site with its own privacy rules, which apply once you go there.

The book «Piano for adults»

The book runs in your browser without an account or login. So that you can continue next time, it stores in the browser's memory (localStorage): lesson progress and answer scores, the captions setting, best results in the trainers, and a flag that you have seen the home-screen hint. These records stay on your device — they are not sent to us and we cannot see them. Clearing the site's data in your browser erases them. If you add the book to your home screen, the browser keeps its pages on your device. Narration, piano sounds and fonts are served from our own server, to which the log described above applies.

Students

Students' and parents' contact details, the lesson schedule and payment records are handled by the studio to perform the lesson agreement and for accounting [how and where — e.g. the teacher's phone and a paper register; to be added]. We receive children's data only from parents or guardians.

Who else sees the data

Only our service providers, as far as the service needs it: the hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH (server log), the e-mail provider Apple (iCloud Mail), Telegram (request notifications) and [Hazerim] for technical maintenance. We would disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict its use or object to it — write to info@amadeusmusic.lt and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt).

Changes

When the site changes (for example, when accounts or payments appear), we will update this notice and its date. This version: 7 October 2026.
